Things You’ll Need:
* Patience
* consistency
* compassion
* creativity
* determination
Step1
First make sure your child is at an age where you think she is ready and somewhat interested in taking this step. If you are the only one ready it inst going to happen. Wait until your child takes interest. Children's bladders develop at different times and if its just not working out even though you think its the appropriate time relax and try again in a few weeks.
Step2
One way that works for many is simply taking a weekend off and devote it entirely to putting your child on the potty by a timer every 45 minutes. For many this is all it takes for many others its not that easy to potty train there child.
Step3
Lots of times letting your child run around without there underwear on will prompt them to use the potty (other times they might just potty on the floor lol!!)
Step4
Try taking them to the store to pick out there own special big kid potty and underwear and when you get home let them color there potty & decorate it with stickers & there name (you could even purchase a potty that plays music when they tinkle in it). And tell them once they learn to use the potty they get to wear there new big kid underwear.
Step5
Let them have a special potty book or movie they only get to watch or read when they are on the potty!( The movie Elmo goes potty worked great for us)
Step6
Sometimes rewarding them with stickers, candy or a silly potty dance when they use the potty will motivate them to want to keep trying!
ips & Warnings
* Remember some children have mastered potty training right at two and some still have accidents at four. Do not take it to seriously or start thinking something is wrong with your child if they don't take to potty training right away. Remember everyone in the world is potty trained it will happen eventually!
* Also limit drinking an hour before bed to keep them from having accidents when they sleep.
* Never ever discipline your child for having an accident no matter how fed up or frustrated you may be!
* Even after you think your child is potty trained they may still like to surprise you sometimes out of nowhere and have accidents. Laugh it off because its all part of it!
