What is the Best Printer Purchase for Teenagers?

January 31st, 2010

Teenagers love the internet, sports, fashion and entertainment (music, theater, movies etc). We have some who have become religious also and they seem to enjoy it so much (if at all they mean it) that it leaves me wondering why I never got saved when I was teenager. Up to now, I still go to church twice in a year; Christmas and New Year period.

The evolution of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and especially the Internet has bought in a new dimension in the usage of the printer. Unlike before when the printer was strictly used for printing meeting minutes, letters of resignation and memos these days it has become a must have device in any organization mainly because it’s used for photo printing and other educational material. A computing unit without a printer doesn’t make sense and it might leave one with many unanswered questions.

It is not strange when u go to teenagers’ room to find a printed photo of Jesus Christ placed next to that of Saddam Hussein.

The art of printing has evolved and to satisfy this need more printers are being introduced in the market to fill this gap.

Portable Laptop Printers will be great for those who have the privilege of owning a laptop since it will enable them to print their work (mainly photos) from any location they may be in. Another advisable printer for them is the Canon Pixma iP100 printer, which can be used using wireless technology.

Other types of printers that can be used by teenagers are Hp series type of printers, Epson printers, Kyocera among others.

The majority of urban population is mainly teenagers. Some are young professionals while the majorities are college students and estate managers (the jobless).

A good printer for them will be that which is:

  • Time saving
  • Reliable
  • User friendly
  • Minimum ink usage
  • Clarity and quality and
  • Compatible
  • Easy to maintain and use

From the available printers in the market, the above basic features can help a teenager (with the help of a guardian and printer expert) to identify a printer that will meet his / her needs.

Remember a good picture speaks a thousand words.
